atlanta restaurant and bar in the city

atlanta restaurant and bar in the city article

Looking for a new high energy spot in town to have a good time, but also a delicious meal? Well look no further than Aja Restaurant & Bar, the latest resto from Tom Catherall’s wildly successful Here to Serve Restaurants. Situated below Phipps Plaza in Buckhead in the building that formerly housed Emeril’s, Aja looks like it’s here to stay. Boasting dim sum, sushi and Asian entrees with a twist, Catherall’s new restaurant was influenced by his
recent trip to Thailand as well as the New York hotspots, Tao and Buddhakan. Catherall had always wanted to establish an Asian eatery and when the old Emeril’s restaurant space came available, he knew he had to act fast. And we’re sure glad he did.
Food: Whether you are planning on visiting Aja with a group of friends, on a date, on a business lunch or dinner or something in between,

Atlanta has become such a fashionable place to live, the city has had a hard time coping with the growth in some ways. The city often finds itself at or near the top of the list when it comes to days with severe air pollution as well as a city known for legendary gridlock on the highways surrounding downtown. However, these are small time issues when you consider everything this city has to offer.

just know the place sets the scene for just about anything. With the entrĂ©e dishes served family-style at the table and passed around on dim sum carts, Aja has got Asian food down. Order the shrimp and lobster wonton soup for a tasty appetizer with a side of tuna tataki. Sample the honey duck served with snap peas and white rice and the Lobster Shanghi, a broiled whole lobster with sticky rice and red curry ginger sauce with a side of fried spinach. The sushi is great, but the menu is small. Try the Lobster Roll (Lobster and avocado topped with spicy mayo and masago) and the Tuna Roll made with fresh tuna and cucumber. Check out the $9 “People’s Lunch,” which gets you in and out in record time with a full stomach. Aja serves lunch and dinner and the kitchen will close at midnight.
