Looking for a new high energy spot in town to have a good time, but also a delicious meal? Well look no further than Aja Restaurant & Bar, the latest resto from Tom Catherall’s wildly successful Here to Serve Restaurants. Situated below Phipps Plaza in Buckhead in the building that formerly housed Emeril’s, Aja looks like it’s here to stay. Boasting dim sum, sushi and Asian entrees with a twist, Catherall’s new restaurant was influenced by his
recent trip to Thailand as well as the New York hotspots, Tao and Buddhakan. Catherall had always wanted to establish an Asian eatery and when the old Emeril’s restaurant space came available, he knew he had to act fast. And we’re sure glad he did.
Food: Whether you are planning on visiting Aja with a group of friends, on a date, on a business lunch or dinner or something in between,

Atlanta has become such a fashionable place to live, the city has had a hard time coping with the growth in some ways. The city often finds itself at or near the top of the list when it comes to days with severe air pollution as well as a city known for legendary gridlock on the highways surrounding downtown. However, these are small time issues when you consider everything this city has to offer.

just know the place sets the scene for just about anything. With the entrée dishes served family-style at the table and passed around on dim sum carts, Aja has got Asian food down. Order the shrimp and lobster wonton soup for a tasty appetizer with a side of tuna tataki. Sample the honey duck served with snap peas and white rice and the Lobster Shanghi, a broiled whole lobster with sticky rice and red curry ginger sauce with a side of fried spinach. The sushi is great, but the menu is small. Try the Lobster Roll (Lobster and avocado topped with spicy mayo and masago) and the Tuna Roll made with fresh tuna and cucumber. Check out the $9 “People’s Lunch,” which gets you in and out in record time with a full stomach. Aja serves lunch and dinner and the kitchen will close at midnight.

Few cities in the United States have changed as much as Atlanta has over the past few decades. This once quiet southern town has become the headquarters of the “New South” and is now the economic machine that drives this entire region. Atlanta was already a worldwide travel destination long before the city played host to the 1996 Summer Olympics. That event allowed city planners to build even more world class facilities and the Olympics played out as a 2-week advertisement to people from all over the world. Needless to say, the publicity worked, and everything from the population to the economy to the city’s reputation has grown significantly since then.

he first thing that most people notice about Atlanta is the hills. Atlanta actually has the second highest elevation of any metropolitan city in the United States, second only to The Mile High City of Denver. The hills add a beautiful and unpredictable aspect to the landscape, but it also renders walking here, at least for long distances, extremely difficult. Staying in the downtown core of the city and walking there isn’t too difficult, but if you are hoping to explore any of the outlying areas, you are going to need to get to know the transit system or simply give in and rent a car like most folks do when they visit here.

Work in Atlanta City

Atlanta Works: Atlanta City Guide

When local officials took over the city’s Weights and Measures operation from Atlantic County, Mayor Lorenzo Langford justified the action by claiming it would provide better and more responsive service. A review of documents maintained by the city’s Office of Weights and Measures, which is staffed solely by Langford’s longtime friend and former business partner Mark L. Hamilton, shows that city residents are not getting what they were promised. The records review by The Press of Atlantic City found:

* The city has failed to provide monthly reports to the state Division of
Consumer Affairs, as required by New Jersey law; Hamilton should have
generated and maintained the reports. A documents request produced
only handwritten notes briefly describing his daily activities.
* Fewer inspections than the county in a similar time period,
despite the mayor’s claims that county inspections were “down severely.”

If you only have one day in Atlanta, start off in downtown.
The Georgia Aquarium needs a minimum of two hours,
so try to make reservations and get there when it opens at 9 am.
Then walk north through Centennial Park, where visitors enjoy a steady schedule
of activities, such as music in the park from noon to 1 pm every Tuesday and Thursday
from April through September. Even if you just feel like taking a rest, it's always fun
to watch kids playing in the fountains, shaped like Olympic rings.

Learn the behind-the-scenes mechanics of how a major network covers global news events with a 50-minute tour of the CNN Center. Then walk three blocks to Underground Atlanta for insight into the city's history. When you pop out the other end, you'll be able to view the world's largest collection of soft-drink memorabilia at the World of Coke Museum. Afterward, journey to the top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza and check out its revolving Sun Dial Restaurant, which has a spectacular 360-degree view of the city for its customers. Make sure to try some Georgia mountain trout or spiced pumpkin ravioli while you take in a complete view of the city's skyline. Start the day at The Ted, the locals' nickname for Turner Field. Turner Field offers extensive tours in which guides take you to a skybox, the press box and stands, and the team's dugout and locker rooms. It's a great chance to see the inner workings of a sports facility. Then swing by the Mobil One-Star The Varsity Drive-in for lunch and load up on a chili cheese dog and onion rings before taking a drive to Stone Mountain Park.

Atlanta’s Museum

22 years later its building, designed by Richard Meier with the curves of a grand piano and a skin of white-enamel squares, would end up on a U.S. postage stamp in the series Masterworks of Modern American Architecture, alongside the Chrysler Building and Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum.

The firm Renzo Piano Building Workshop and local architects Lord,
Aeck & Sargent created a master plan for the entire 18.25-acre campus
of the Woodruff Arts Center, comprising the High, the Symphony Orchestra,
the Atlanta College of Art, and three performing arts groups. Behind the existing
museum and the Memorial Arts Building, a 1968 Brutalist concrete hulk housing the
center's concert halls, the architects added two new gallery buildings (the John F.
and Susan W. Wieland Pavilion and the Anne Cox Chambers Wing); an administrative
building; and a restaurant and tapas bar that opens onto the main plaza. Delicate glass
bridges join the upper levels of the three gallery wings, while narrow pedestrian walkways,
covered with glass canopies, link the structures on the ground. "It's a fundamentally urban
composition, with a piazza as its centerpiece," says Piano, who rejects the word campus to
describe his plan.

travel Atlanta beautiful waterfalls

There are spots where you can pull the car off the road and see "better than postcard" sights: the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen- Wailua Falls and Opaeka Falls. Or, take a nice swim the in "Queen's Bath" and "Secret Lava Pools". Those spots look like a set from a movie! You can hike on an incredibly picturesque trail "Kalalau Trail". The beauty of this island and the warmth of the people are good for your soul. If you are looking for a unique, unforgettable island vacation and don't mind a "laid-back" atmosphere, this may be the trip for you! The island is small enough for doing day excursions.

I had no idea that Kauai would be as gorgeous as it is. I now understand why people go "on and on" about their love for the island. Kauai is lush, vibrant and green, and it is filled with an array of different terrains including the rugged Na Pali coast, and the soft sands of North Shore beaches like Ke'e Beach. Why should you choose Kauai for a reasonable, offbeat vacation? Here's is quick summary of some reasons to make plans and go:
